Welcome to the site for the national network Queer Research UK. This is the place where you’ll find details of people who research queer / lgbtq+ topics as well as academic or community events on these topics, usually talks or conferences. If you’d like to be included on the site, or have an event you’d like added, you can do so by getting in touch.

qruk began in June 2018, when 25 researchers from around the UK got together for an initial meeting at the University of Cambridge to discuss the issues involved in running a queer/lgbtq+ research group at universities. Out of that meeting came a desire for a longer term and wider reaching project, namely a UK-wide national network for queer research.

We hope to be able to foster more links between researchers of queer topics, and to encourage more events and conferences in the UK and beyond.
